  • Christopher is a 15-year-old boy with Asperger's syndrome. He doesn't understand people, and people don't understand him either. He needs help with everything except math, and never got beyond his house on his own. He is very exact and never lies. When he finds a dog dead in his street, he starts work on his book to unravel the mystery, but he doesn't know it will turn his whole world upside down. Dramatic things happen in this book, but it is described in a very normal way; all very literally. That makes it very special. Partly because of this, it is so easy to read, and you can finish it quickly. You view the world from his point of view, and therefore you understand why he does everything the way he does. At the same time you can easily empathize with the people around you and also understand the frustrations. The writer has very well made this story sad, when it is not written that way. The curious incident of the dog in the Night-Time is a gripping story that is recommended to everyone.
